Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) is a company diversity registration designated under the Veteran Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006 (Public Law 109-461). Registration ensures that companies qualify for preferential procurement for federal contracts if they are owned and controlled by Veterans.

This certification is non-industry specific and requires that the firm meets the small business requirements established by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Additionally, it requires that the company is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a veteran.

Client REQUEST

The client requested a full security solution design to include access control, video surveillance, and intercom for their new 500,000 square foot data center. The basis of design was the existing client security standards and available new technologies.

 

SOLUTION

Biometric credentials, dual authentication were specified at the building perimeter as well as to enter secure areas within the facility. Video surveillance was applied throughout common areas as well as recognition level resolution outside of the building. Access control logs tagged with video surveillance verification for each alarm were a requirement and were designed through an integrated solution to simplify post-incident investigations.
